Have you checked in the manual? These should be all the manuals you'll ever need, based on your serial number..
Page WA-14 on the service manual shows it..

I think it's just the wording. Not sure if he's referring to a specific set of chains? All the chains have tensioners except for the fronts with the Admiral and it seems weird you can't adjust those. I thought the same and asked the dealer and they said Argo specifically left out the front set screws on the front sprockets so that they slide over and take up some slack on the front chains. Should be a better setup for this, I ended up changing my front chains out cause of this and they weren't actually worn yet.

Sparkx You nailed it. I saw in schematic idler shaft for front chains so I assumed they were idler chains. I put new front chains on my machine to 1/8 specs and within 6hrs use I had slack and noise in chain. These are high quality Japanese chains first letter T.
So you are suggesting that these chains are not adjustable?????? You could look at the manual all day long and you would not see adjustment instructions.

Nope not adjustable. All you can do and really NEED to do is make sure the sprocket slides left to right. It won't take up any slack if it stays centered. It may sound weird but that's how they designed the front setup. So make sure to knock over the sprocket either way with say a rubber mallet and coat the shaft liberally with something like Anti-seize to keep the shaft lubed for the sprocket to slide left to right. Mine seem to drift at least 1/2" each side off center at least. Keep them chains lubed up good too!
