Can anyone identify these and what their purpose may have been?

Looks like the are made from aluminium and may or may not be threaded internally.
There are 4 running across the "stern" of the Argo and one up near the muffler.

    Thanks

They look like "Sleeve Anchors", possibly had Eye Bolts threaded into them, and used as Tie Down Points for straps or bungie cords???

Winner winner chicken dinner. I'd imagine it had handrails before the custom rear seat deal.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Threaded inserts that's definitely the correct answer to the mystery!

There are two side handles on either side of the front seat that must have been relocated from the "stern".
Don't really like them there as one tends to hit their behind on them and it hurts. A LOT.

They may be getting moved back soon.
