  • Argo outer bearing grease nipples.

    Hi there

I was wondering how you guys grease your outer bearing. I see there is a hole in the rim so a guy can put the grease gun rigid pipe to grease it. I was wondering what you guys use to grease those nipples. I look everywhere for a long enough grease gun extension and I can't find one anywhere.

I rigged a pallet jack to lift my Argo off the garage floor so it’s very easy to zip the wheels off to service everything. You can get fairly cheap pallet jacks around here on sites like craigslist...I bought one brand new for $200 and rigged some lumber pieces to the jack arms so it fits under the machine and lifts it high enough to remove the wheels. Very handy!

I bought an extension hose for the grease gun and a swivel fitting for the end. Then I take the tracks off and catch them while it is parked. Mine is an '07 Avenger, so I have to get my head between the tires to check after I'm done.. It was handy when my son was smaller, he could fit under the machine and reach them easier.. lol..

Argo sells a custom grease gun extension for this purpose.

Not sure if it's still available - it was out of stock at a few places I checked. Here's a link to it on the Adair website.
