  • 6x6 rubber track lengrth??

About to cut my 18" rubber tracks for my 6x6 Frontier Scout. Any input on the subject of how long to cut the rubber tracks based on this old thread?
Argo instructions say to cut the track to 185" and the guy in the thread says that is too long for proper fit. Argo also says the track length for a 6x6 should be 189" pin to pin with hinges installed. Input??

Set your tires to the air pressure you want to run then run a non stretching type string around the high point around the tires. Measure your string and allow for the splice and the amount of slack you want. That should eliminate any guesswork.

What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

That’s a good idea although I don’t know how close a string would come to simulating the weight of a track!
      Thanks for the suggestion!
