Largest diameter tire possible on and 80's 8X8 I/C?

Whats the largest diameter tire that will fit on a 86 Argo 8x8 I/C?

For replacements, am I limited to the stock 22" runamuck sized tires? IE: the size of the runamucks, not the actual runamucks.

thats a good question i think you can manage 24s but they are tight but i seen a memeber on here argojim put 25s on his 6x6ic probably different wheel base im not sure. search around im sure there are lots of older posts about this!

I have a 1987 I/C that I put new Argo brand tires on a couple of years ago. I had to go with the 22" tires since they no longer sell the 20". They work great, however I also have the super tracks and when I run them they have a tendency to slap the tub a bit as there is only 1/2" room left. Not what I wanted but then again I choose to go with the brand tires for their swimming capabilities. However I have yet to put it in the water. No time left in the day.
