  • Cab for my 79 argo help

Hi guys, I'm brand new here. I want some info/help on where to find ideas/plans to make a plywood cab/windshield so it cuts down the wind/cold while ice-fishing. Maybe install a little heater? I just joined here so getting used to the site so go easy on me lol. thanks in advance....all feedback is appreciated

here are some ideas some are cheap and temporary some an be permanent and cost some bucks but thats up to you and your imagination. all except the half hard top are my ideas. i personally would not build a permanent one because when time comes to work on the Argo the top will make it more difficult than what it has to be.

very cool, thankyou. Ya I need a place for my wife to escape the cold when we're out ice fishing. I like the idea of a removable system for the summer

1st time posting here so hope I got it right. I built mine out of a couple 2x4's and 2x2's covered in thin plywood. I plan on coating the outside in raptor bedliner (catalyzed)

Honestly, I'm not sure what year it is, it has a t**** serial number on it. Briggs vanguard 16hp in it tho, so someone upgraded motor at some point. So far I have a whopping $1600 in the whole machine.

light weight removable cab is the way to go. if your gonna be in any deep water in summer the cab height makes the Argo way too tippy.

It actually doesn't weigh much, 125# or so. It is removable also. I only intend to use it for ice fishing in any case, hopefully it never gets wet.
