  • Kohler Aegis 30 hp liquid cool

Does this engine can be fit in a 6x6 2017 frontier. I am asking that because the engine i have (air cool) is freezing at -2 or -3 celcius and lost power my oil light is always lighting on when release the fuel and engine run like hell the argo was not even capable to climb in the trailer.

    thanks!

Wow! Sounds like you have big problem with your motor! Have you brought it back to your dealer? Should be under warrantee? My 2016 is air cooled and a little cold blooded but it warms up good and no problem after warm up.

The body is lower on the Frontier so the radiator will not fit under the hood, it sounds as if you have fuel problems such as water in your fuel or an electrical issue such as an o2 sensor bad. I would see your dealer if possible and let them give it a once over, you should have no issues running at just under freezing temps..

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
      Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Thanks my dealer is coming this week to take it back and check it. Its not the first kohler engine air cooled that freeze easy i talk to 2 or 3 others dealers and they have seen this problem. In summer my argo is a real nice machine but in winter this problem occur very often.

That's great! Let us know what the fix is for that cold blooded beast you have!

If you look on the inside of your oil cap and you see a white milky film it means that the engine is not running long enough or the machine is being stored where condensation can get into the motor. The oil sensor will be plugged up with this same milky film and you will have to pull it out and clean it so the sensor light no longer comes on. I am not sure where your loss of power is coming from.
