In pure mud I think these tires will perform well, its the thin pudding mud that will get me.
My Argo is a 6x6 Frontier too! Those Vendettas really make yours look mean! Love the look!

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Dan, while I had my 14s off, I said 2 more inches. WOW!! Regardless if you go with Mr. Woods to Arkansas for the Mud Nationals or you come to Busco Beach, I think those 16s will be awesome. I have been going threw all the videos of Hillaroas ATV park that I can find, you will shine there, Mr. Woods with the OX and you with 16s on a light Argo. Great Combo.

Testing the 16 inch wide Vendetta tires on my Argo Scout

A little of video of my Argo Scout testing the 16 inch wide Vendetta tires. Here's what I learned.

Swim speed: I ran the Argo in high range, low range, part throttle, full throttle, GPS in MPH and KPH and finally settled on KPH converted to MPH because I got a more accurate reading with KPH. I finally settled on high gear full throttle for the best readings.
Result: Cruse speed 2.49 to 3.11 MPH with a highest reading of 4.35 MPH but under most conditions a 2.49 cruse at full throttle. Turns really fast and would probably be faster on an 8x8 with the front and rear tires riding higher in the water. I don't think any thing swims as fast as the 26 inch Terra but Terra's ride like *ell.

Climbing: will climb anything you have the guts to try, better than any tire I have ever had and as good or better then tracks. I climbed one grade I didn't think I would make and almost flipped the machine over.

Mudding: Very good but the only way I will ever know is to run the machine in deep mud conditions with several other AATV's seeing what they do under the same conditions and then trying the Vendettas right behind them.
I am not sure how these tires would do in the Florida mud where people sink up to there waist and I won't try that type of mud with out another ARGO WITH TRACKS, but I am pretty sure these tires have enough flotation to stay of top of that kind of mud. I did note that it takes a LOT of power to keep these tires turning in deep mud but the Argo spun the tires (Video) even in mud almost to the top of my tires and never got stuck in pure mud.

Swamp conditions: with trees, roots, mud and fallen trees. Very, very good.

Ride: Good, as good as the 24 inch Argo swim tires.

John, I plan to be at Busco, it's the only way to get a fair comparison on tires. I plan to be there with both Tracks and tires. If I am lucky my brother who lives in Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania will meet me there for some excellent mudding.

The tracks won't go on unless absolutely necessary. (In Mighty Max terms that means getting stuck more than once.)

look forward to it ! have you noticed if it takes less power to run the big tires compared to the smaller tires with tracks or about the same ? j.b.

It takes less power to run the tires on the trail, however once you get it mud it takes to maximum power to turn the tires more so than the tracks

For tires, very impressive. I bet that machine rides well.

Looking good Dan. I am hoping my schedule will allow me some time in Busco this spring to see your new setup in action. Looks like it may be time for some extended mud flaps with those wide tires throwing mud over the sides.

Lol I don’t “get” the mud thing...I spend lots of time trying to keep my toys CLEAN!
I was born before the “mud generation” I guess...y’all have fun though! Looks like too much work to me.

Looks great Dan! I love my Vendettas also. Hopefully the 18hp B&S will be replaced with the 27hp Kohler. The 16” demand a lot of power.
