  • Different size center tires

Seems that I have seen some Argos with different size tires, where the front and rear tires are not touching the ground. Does that make sense? I would image it would be easier to steer.

I have a 2016 6x6 and just installed the Argo rubber tracks. One of the instructions for installation is to measure the circumference of each tire (on rim of course) and then install them in order of smallest to largest front to back.
Also, air them up a specific way too...5 lbs on front and middle then 6 lbs in the rear.
It’s surprising how much difference in circumference there is on the stock tires.

on the newer Argo's the front and rear tires are set higher in the frame than the 4 middle. either half inch or 1 inch sticks in my head. tires are the same size. this was done to aid turning on flat hard ground

I've seen ArgoJim run smaller tires on the rear of his 8x.

I've also ran the center tires with an extra 1-2psi. It does seem to help with tighter turning.
