My fan came installed to draw the hot air out through the hood and worked well, but by simply reversing the wires at the plug I have set mine to blow in for the winter. We have a weekend ride scheduled soon and I'm hoping that by removing the cup holders the hood fan will help to clear the windshield. It gets plenty warm in the cab for me but I had trouble with freezing rain last year.

We have a hood fan on our 2015 Argo 750 HDI. We mainly use it to help draw some of the heat out from the brakes as well as the engine when it's hot outside. It seems to work really well and it wasn't difficult to install. You can get them at argoadventure.com

Mine does stay on all the time. Double check the quick connectors that they are tight. One of mine was loose and caused the fan to stop. Shortly there after, I lost my braking. Now they are taped together.

Our fan is not on all the time, we wired a switch to the dash we can hit if we want it on. We don't need it when it's cold out but we definitely use it in the summer.

Are you talking the hood fan or the brake cooling fan?
                Most hood fans are switched.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
                Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
