So I've been kicking around the thought about getting a clamp built for the idler shaft on my Avenger. I'd want to put it on the inboard side after the snap ring, so that should the snap ring break, it would limit the travel of the sprocket to eliminate damage to the brake disc. I'd want it to be able to be put on after the shaft is in place, and removed for service.
Has anyone tried this? Is there an after market product similar to this available? Pros or cons that anyone can see with this?
