Man I'm getting frustrated with my '70 ish argo 6x6. Seems like every time I drive it, I'm breaking stuff. The latest is sheer pins on the axle stubs. The holes have elongated from years of use. The two front stub axes actually sheered off so I welded a new pipe on them.

I've been messing with air pressure to try and get rid of the bouncing. This thing feels like we are jumping on a trampoline while we drive it. Advice on tire pressure to avoid the bounce would be great.

Yesterday, the rear tire broke right off at the weld where the tire mounting tube slides over the axle. I welded that up this morning but it's kind of a pain in the butt to be out riding and lose a tire.

I've noticed that the axles have two holes in them but my hollow stub axles only have one sheer pin. I think I'm going to drill the hollow axle out and put two pins on each tire.

    Any thoughts?

I run about 3 !/2 Lbs of pressure in the tires. I get a little bounce some times but it's not often. Not sure about the rest of the stuff. Mines a 2000 so I don't have the pins on mine.
