  • Red light on dash for shifting gears

    folks..
    bought a 2004 conquest..
It has a red light that comes on when you at the right rpm for shifting gears.
Has anyone seen this this before, Im not sure how it works, but it only lights up at very low rpms and then you can shift with perfect sync and no grinding at all..

Thoughts, is it aftermarket thing, anyone know ??

Sounds like a low oil pressure light? There are 20 HP. kaw. people on this site that will know for sure.

That's the low voltage lamp. When it's on your machine is running off the battery. As rpm increases, the light extinguishes. Yep, when that light is on it's a good time to shift gear ranges.

Factory. The one on my Conquest is between the temp gauge and voltmeter on the right side of the dash.
