  • Vanguard II - Will 22X11-8 tires work

    Hello,

I just purchased used 1996 Argo Vanguard - took for a test ride last weekend and got 2 flats - not surprised, give the tires look old/cracked.

In any case, I will need new tires. Royal Distributing sell a 22X11-8 Duro HF243 Tire - The stock tires are 22X10-8.

I'm hoping these tires will work dispite the 1" difference in size. Called local Argo dealer - new Carlisle tires they are offering are a pricey.

Thanks in advance for any help (also, other suggestions welcomed (I live in Ontario, Canada).

    22x11x8 will fit just fine.

Yes they fit fine and despite being 11 inches wide they seem narrower than the 10 wide. I have those Duro tires on my 8x8 and hate them. Grip great but hard to turn on harder packed surfaces and very little water propulsion. When i`m rich enough I am buying the Argo branded 22x10-8

I have repeatedly suggested cutting the knobbies off to aid in turning and theoretically swimming.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
        Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

I just purchased 8 Duro HF 243 for an argo magnum. I got 8 online with free shipping atvtirescanada.com for $698. Also if you mount them in reverse they will aid in swimming
