  • What Chain lube ?

Been reading through the older post but have not seen anything recent (Unless I missed it) But what's good chain lube or spray ? I used harley davidson chain spray back when I had my last argo 6 years ago. But looking for something else with this new argo

    Thanks

I went to a motorcycle shop and picked up some super duper non-flinging lube that sprays on a light blue color then fades to oil color during use. Probably doesn’t matter much...just keep the chains wet.

Since they are low speed chains I just use cheap stuff... and I use a lot and I use it often.

I think you might be right Maxheadroom and Mowbiz says "just keep em wet" but my question is,how do you apply the bar oil? The-- try to dribble on a moving chain method --leaves a lot of oil in the tub. I have tried using a brush dipped in oil and rolling the tires by hand with the machine jacked up. Somebody must have a better idea?

Hi, I use Castrol Chain Lube. This is what my dealer said to use. Works great, spray can. Keeps the chains wet all the time. Don't use motor oi or grease
you will ruin your chains. Hope this helps.

What does Argo use in their automatic chain oiler system?

I've been using WD-40 brand white lithium spray grease on my 2005 Avenger for several years with no issues. Easy to apply...no excess in the tube, and lasts a long time between applications.

It seems to stay on fairly well.

NAPA white lithium spray grease. Works well. We use it all the time. Sprays on white, coats very well, little mess.

I am also a fan of spray White lithium lube. Seems to coat the chains well and stays there for a while.
