  • Argo gun storage with hard top?

Hello all, I’m new to owning an Argo and was curious what people where doing for gun storage when running with a hard top. I like to always keep my gun in a kolpin boot and was trying out different ideas. Does anyone here have pictures of how they keep there gun in a case while on the move? I use bolt on racks on my Frontier hood rack. I carry augers for ice fishing and they would easily handle one of those gun boots.

Thanks for the reply mowbizz. I’m currently looking for something to keep everything inside of the Argo and out of the elements

I used the Big Sky overhead gun rack on my Polaris RZR and liked it a lot... wouldn’t be hard to adapt it to a hard top in an Argo or you could even mount it behind the seat if get creative... one tug on the Velcro strap and the rifle just pulls out.

The hunting regulations here stipulate that if you are carrying a firearm on an ATV between sunrise and noon it’s got to be locked inside a case etc etc... the Kolpin boots are a lot handier here for that reason but bulky.

Thanks for the replies!! Going to try and do a x mount behind the seat with kolpin cases. Time to break out the welder and see what can be done.

I have gone to carrying my guns in a waterproof soft case. Here is a brand that is a nice option.

Bush pilots encourage customers to use soft sided gun cases when flying out in bush Alaska. That special long gun deserves special protection. The NOMAR gun...

I have the rollover protection and I screwed a sheet of plywood on top to keep the rain and snow off. Then on the underside I bolted 2 of the 2 gun big sky gun holders to the plywood. They are easily accessible and held very securely.
