Hey guys I'm in the process of rebuilding my old late 80s Argo, looking at the parts breakdown there is a 1/2" sheet of plywood for a subfloor. How do you get the full sheet in there under the axles without it snapping? I haven't tried yet but it just looks like it would break going in as 1 piece and there is only corner brackets in 4 places so it doesn't seem like it would be 2 pieces. Thanks in Advance.

It may slide in from the back been a while since I messed with one, we welded full floor it dad's about 20 years ago when frame was out.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

I have an '83 and the parts list shows a plywood floor in mine too.
Its never been there since I owned the machine and it is not missed.
Don't need it all all in my opinion.See my photos here.

Interesting.
My 86 I/C doesn’t have plywood subfloor. It’s probably about 1/16th steel welded to the chassis. I would think a chunk of plywood resting on top of it would just be an invitation for “the rusties” to set up shop.
If you didn’t have the plastic insert though (tray, floor or whatever its called) I can see how a slab of plywood would help keep you from bending the steel. But then your chains are exposed and that’s just not a good idea from a safety perspective...
