  • What's the biggest engine that will fit a Magnum?

Hi all, I just picked up an Argo Magnum with an 18HP Kohler Magnum Engine. I would like to run Super Tracks on the machine at high altitudes (5000 - 10000), but I'm concerned that the 18 will not have enough power. Does anyone know what the largest engine that will fit in the compartment is? Is it necessary to get a different clutch when you get a larger engine? What if I just got a Dial-a-Jet for the 18?

    Thanks.

    Argo Magnum Engine

I also own a Magnum with the Kohler 18 magnum engine . I have stock Argo tracks , they do require alot of power but the 18 Koehler is up to it , one of the very dependable engines made , if you don't have tracks yet the standard tracks work well with the 18 hp , if you have some cash than you have pretty much all the options of hp in the Briggs Vanguard line available to you , seems like I have seen some pretty good prices on the Route 6x6 web site ( Richards Relics) might even want your Koehler as these are still in demand (the Koehler magnum's are pretty bullet proof )
