  • Heat build up in engine compartment

I have A 2018 Frontier 600 SE --we use it A lot on our pond (We live in the Ocala Nat'l Forest ,Florida ) and 20 acres of woods- I noticed that when we spend A lot of time working on the pond it gets real hot . So I looked up the hood fan kit for it . I felt it was to much money for what you get. I then ordered A 15" 1500 CFM 12V slim line universal radiator fan (found it for $40.00)--then got A fan switch from Argo dealer , a 4 pole realay some wire and ends . Mounted the fan on under side of hood and screen . total cost $85. --total time 1 1/2 Hr.. ----Works fantastic cooled off brakes and engine compartment.

Have you got the fan set to draw cool air in or to push hot air out of the engine compartment??

Cool (sorry for the poor pun) idea.

I run super hot on the warmer days as well. I appreciate the info and look forward to the pix.

I was able to post the photos of my cooling fan in the gallery area of this web site. Could not figure out how to get them on the Argo forum under heat build up in engine compartment--------- hope this works
