  • Stud Removal

I have an Argo Conquest from 1998 that has been sitting for many years and got it running again. In trying to remove the wheels to grease it, a wheel stud spins in place. The nut started moving but must have stopped in rust on the stud end. How can I remove the nut and stud without taking the wheel off? Thanks

If you are lucky you might grab the stud from behind with vice grips, if not might have to grind off but and replace the stud.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

if you can't grab the stud head with grips , tack weld a long bolt to the stud , put a pipe on it, and see if the bolt will unscrew . j.b.

I’ll give all those a try. Thanks for the suggestions!

As a follow up, I had to grind the stud from the front side and replace. Thanks
