I am curious of other people's thoughts on the rear bench seats for 8x8's. I have an 07 Avenger and I think the rear seat will add alot of comfort to my kids. However, I'm afraid it makes it tougher to get gear in and out, not to mention the steep price tag. What is everyone's thoughts on them? Worth it or not?

Don't buy the bench. In addition to all the reasons you stated above, remember you have to remove the installed bench to remove the back floor-pan for regular greasing of chains/axels. We simply bought a 2" x 8" board, cut it to length, padded it with egg-crate type foam and covered it with tough vinyl from Hobby Lobby. It fits very well between the two bench seats, is easily removed and didn't cost much. I hope this helps."...So sayeth the Coffinman..." -
That is kid of what I was thinking about doing. Didn't think about the pan coming out. All good points. I think you are confirming what I was thinking.Comment
