900-0062 Windshield on 2020 Aurora 850 Huntmaster review

I was surprised that this had really cheap plastic mounts for the struts that support the windshield given the price.
We did a first 14 mile ride on state park trails (not rough) and the mount screws pulled out of the fender on one side and one screw came out the other side on the windshield and pulled the mount off the second screw. I put the screws back in the same holes, but have no hope it will hold.
Guess I will need to build some aluminum mounts instead of the cheap plastic ones.
I will also replace the screws that mount them to the fenders with screws, washers and a nylon nut to hold it all together.
I will probably remove the windshield for the summer.
Kinda disappointed.

Either the dealer that did the install did a really bad job or it is really cheap mounting hardware. (It is really cheap mounting hardware)

Replaced the #8 screws in the fenders with stainless #10 machine screws with a washer and a locking nut.
The brackets are fairly strong composite material, so I reused them with the larger screws.
Those wont pull out again.
I will address the windshield half in the fall when I put the windshield back on.
I don't see much of a reason for having it on in the summer. I know for my use I will just scratch it up and it covers the front rack if folded down.

I just pulled the long hinge pin and left the bottom half of the windshield mount on. Then I can just put it back on with a single pin.
