  • Is 18 HP Enough to Run Super Tracks?

I have a '91 Magnum with the Kohler Magnum 18 HP and I'd like to run Super Tracks for getting through deep powder snow. Is this engine going to have enough power operating at 5000 - 8000 feet? Maybe someone here has firsthand experience with this scenario? I have also considered a Dial-a-Jet, but I'm still not sure that it would make up enough of the diiference.

    Thanks!

Honestly its really borderline on the old horizontally opossed twin, it will move the machine just fine but dont expect much performance out of it. if i were you i would rip out the old Kohler and drop in an 18hp Vanguard V-Twin, easy swap and will perform much better
