One side dead question

Sounds as if you have the machine in the air and the differential is allowing the side with more drag spin. Applying brakes to either side should force the other to spin when in the air.
If you think your machine is an 86 it may be possible that your sprockets have spiral pins or keyed sprockets, check that no pins or keys have sheared on the single tire that does nothing.

I had an IC of similar vintage and sheared every roll pin on one side at busco... luckily McCoy's towing and recovery was still in business. I would check roll pins first

If it's bolt on sprockets I bet the bolts vibrated out or broke. Possibly broken axles but I'd bet it's the bolts.

So to further this, i held the opposite side break down in reverse and the chains rolled. Am I missing something, seems like it should spin either way?

I have an 86 i/c. Motor it a top, super happy how well it runs. My issue is the entire clutch side tires, and second tire on drivers side do not spin. Any ideas?
