If it looks like you can't make it, you probably can't, but what the hell you can call in sick tomorrow......right?

1979-1980 economy 8x8, just the entry level 8 wheel with the Tejunksie single, if ya can afford it throwin a nice V-Twin, preferably a nice 16 or 18 B&S Vanguard, and if you can really afford it upgrade to hydraulic brakes and handlebar steering

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Honda 20HP V-Twin. $1900 from Princess auto here in town. Have to get it in the shop to look at body etc. as it has a couple of spots patched up. The axles are seized at the moment I think due to the 6" of frozen water in the bottom of the tub LOL. Has sat outside for 10 years. May be a cool project or a total nightmare, I keep you all posted as it progesses.

Grande Prairie AB, just saw the pricing on the webpage couple of days ago. The ones for $999 look like the Kohler 20HP V-Twin, I saw them in store, they are in "Power Fist" boxes though.

Thanks again for the info. Any good places in Alberta to buy cheap parts? Will need chains, sprokets, clutches etc. Have not tried the dealership here yet, but dealerships are usually higher priced.

                  parts source

Hey there. I am close to Fort McMurray Alta and if you have a BC Bearing store in Grande Praire they should be able to match chains and bearings and maybe even seals to your machine cheaper than Argo. We also have place here called Comercial Bearing Solutions I think and they will have chain as well. Good luck with the rebuild and enjoy!
