Hello, Picked up My Argo 600 today after a long wait. So far I really like it. Its quiet and smooth. Seems like good quality. The only complaint I have is in stock form it’s pretty limited in the snow. People who have had them for awhile will already know. First time owners may not. I found it to get stuck very easy. I see tracks in the future. I also found the windshield is poorly made. It’s great for wind protection, the problem is where it mounts to machine is made of plastic, mine cracked completely off. Reached out to dealer and I’m going to see how Argo handles this. It’s an expensive accessory to be so cheaply made. The machine is definitely improved it seems. The 600 seemed to have good power in high and good low range power. Similar to super low In an Atv. Gear selection worked smooth. Getting in and out takes a little getting used to. The start in gear feature was awesome. Parking brake is smooth as well. Starting was easy as its carbureted, temps were 20 Fahrenheit. Started right up.Overall I’m really excited with this purchase. These things are not cheap. They lure you in with a descent machine price but the accessories are stupid expensive with no real aftermarket that I found. For anyone thinking of an entry level Argo, I think you be overly impressed with it. It’s a pretty cool rig. A winch is a must, you can’t help these things like an Atv. Once your stuck you need external help. Hope this helps someone who is thinking of a base Argo.

My 700 Frontier EFI 6X6 showed up a couple months ago after a ludicrously long wait. Ordered her with the 25 inch tire upgrade, winch & plow. Loving it for clearing snow. Just a bit of a learning curve as it's the first Argo I've ever operated & first time plowing. Quite impressed. Only 2 issues I have is notchy grinding shifts some times & shifter boot keeps popping out of it in firewall.
Gonna be a couple months yet before trail riding is on the menu.

Well have the adair belted 14.5 " tracks and a set off argo plastic super tracks. I found super tracks worked fine for my limited time with them on the machine. float well on top of snow and was able to climb up snow banks to a certain extent, didn't push too hard and have never used them again in the snow. don't get that much usually.
The adair tracks I bought for several reasons mud and swimming and were intended as everyday tracks out on trails and such. I find and others may agree that tracks smooth the ride some not all by eleiminating or minimizing the bump an aobject on the ground can cause in between tires. I find I ride mostly on tires though. I can travel with minimal hassle in up to 12" of snow on ground but can get high centered if not careful and the argo tranny in an old bigfoot will cause the tranny to send power to one side. The trick in snow is to do more gradual turns and pivot turns and bring a shovel. I doubt the adair standard tracks I have would probably do about equal to tires in the snow. For plowing I have used it a lot. makes short work of the snow. I have on two occassions been caught high centered due to the condition of the snow . I'm found that for my bigfoot if the snow is about a 12" and wet I can get stopped by the snow due to weight. I really need to add some sort of weight to the back end to get more traction. Also learned to plow in high not low on the transmission.
Grinding gear shift? well mine does it quite frequently but shifing into reverse then to gear helps. I have also just realized that the shifting is smoother if I raise the handle to the top of the slot it moves across. I fought the rpm for a while and turns out it's operator error for the most part. No experience with the new argos and transmissions.
Would have thought Argo would resolve it. If really tough to shift I will pull the choke to get it to idle down but hate to have to do that.

Yes I found that blipping the throttle and waiting for the rpm to drop works.
As for snow we get a lot in Haliburton and tracks are a must. With the tires alone the Argo will float on its belly pan and the tires lose all their grip. I have had to be towed out of a few inches of fresh powder. Very embarrassing. I use the Argo rubber tracks (in the winter only) and they work really well. They float on deep powder and chug through the dreaded slush. The only thing that slows them down is deep fluffy powder on a steep hill where they will slide sideways.

I would love a set of Beaver Dam tracks, they are bad ass. They would probably destroy my drive train and get me kicked out of my hunting camp. when I get tracks I will more than likely go with Adair’s and arm them for winter. I would prefer them to be an all season track in the
Event I’m lazy and don’t feel like taking them off. . Mine shifts fine. Smooth as butter. So far. Heard from Dealer today. Argo is getting me a new windshield. Was happy about that. Heard Argo was bad with handling issues. So Far I’m liking the Buggy. Had her out ice fishing yesterday. Was awesome seeing her rest on the lake. Made the experience better, that’s what it’s all about. Good times.

To the OP I agree the windshields are crap.
My 2020 Aurora had a crappy mounted windshield as well.
Replaced all of the short screws into the plastic with full #10 stainless screws with nuts and washers.
The plastic didn't hold the mounts and the windshield fell apart on the first ride out.
I also need to blip the throttle for shifting.
Happy riding

I purchased my 2021 Argo 6x6 about a month ago. I have noticed the same things everyone else has. Not the best in snow. I believe tracks would be a huge help with that. I do have a grinding issue when changing gears and the rubber boot doesn't want to stay in place either. Overall though I'm very impressed with the machine. I'm ready to do some trail riding.

I had the issue where it Bolts down , it cracked off. Supposedly Argo is sending mine back to manufacturer to cure defect. They are sending me a new windshield. Hope it’s not same issue. I will keep what you did in mind. Sounds like a better set up through bolted.

Reference the shift boot: This has been an issue with the Argo Frontier since they were built. I just learned to live with it, pushing the boot back into place anytime I stopped the machine.
