How to remove shifter knob?

Hi, basic question I know, but how do I get the shifter knob off? I’ve got a new shifter rubber boot to put on.

Solved my own problem. Knob is screwed on and held with locktite. I held the shaft with multi grips and unwound knob.
Hope this helps someone else.
