  • Clutch problem.

    Hi again,

I seem to be having a clutch problem. My 1884 I/C 8X8 argo (17 Kohler) is making a load clunking sound as I accellerate in both neutral and in all gears. It will also slip when I encounter a grade. Do I have to purchase a new unit or are there rebuild kits avaiable? This site is great and the help that's available here is unbelievable.

    Thanks

      Clutch problem.

      Hi Everyone,

Winter is just stating to disappear here. I final looked into my clutch problem and the driven clutch is the problem. The rivets holding the belt plate to the helix have sheared of. Any advise on where a replacement can be found? Will a old snowmobile secondary work? The driver clutch a salsburg 1190 and the driven clutch has the following argo part number 125-55 it's a 19984 8x8 17 Kohler.

      Thanks for help!
