    Plow Mount on Bigfoot

I will wait to replace it until I have to, I could see that taking a long time.

The factory plow mounts on my bigfoot attatch to the bearing extensions with only 3, not 6 bolts, and those would be the three to the back of the plow mount, closest to the driver. The mounts themselves have a bend outwards, to accommodate the factory plow which is wider than the Bigfoots body. There are 3 sets of holes to choose to attatch the plow to on the front end, giving you a choice of a more or less aggressive blade angle.
I just got the plow mounted on my Avenger. Like Salamander said,3 bolts on each side, but my plates bend in, toward the center of the machine to clear tracks. See the thumbnail in Mr. Riveter's post of Dec. 14--Sure Enough, six (6) bolts on each side. I always recommend to guys making their own plows that they get the mounts from a dealer "cause they aint all the same for different machines.

Good memory, yes Maple Ridge, in the Lower Mainland. My Frontier sees more action in my yearly moose hunting trip than the whole rest of the year.

UHMW is what we use to line the bottom of aluminum skis for our airplanes.
Different than teflon; they do not heat up, take a beating and will not scratch the way teflon will. That is what they line the boxes of dump trucks, that deliver rocks, with.

My only concern was about covering the Argo bottom. If you are just doing the front, I say "Go for it", and please let us know how it works out.

Actually, I have seen one Argo that had a hole punched into the front, down low where that plate covers the front in the pic. It was from a piece of steel pipe that was sticking out of the frozen ground on a cutline. (Friends Argo) I thought it was quite funny, untill I got roped into helping him replace the tub.

Hello RD, you replace your friend tub because of a hole, i repare plastique instead of it. I repaired a 6" hole in the firewall of my machine with a bucket lid ( made of HDPE) and it was really easy. Now when someone tell me about covering up bodies with fiberglass, silicone or anything else, i told him how to weld his plastic back on his bodies. you can see what it looks like at this link
