You guys need to post pictures and videos of your setups. We usually don't get much snow around here but this year we're getting hammered so far. Got me thinking of getting a plow for my Frontier for next year.

Did you guys know that there's only one video of an Argo plowing snow on Youtube? We need to change that!

BC, After I get the bearings changed I will get some pics around for you to see. But now I have the tracks off and it's all jacked up.

i need to get some pics of mine but we built a snow plow for our argo we used the blade off an old agricultural ditcher that we cut in half and a bunch of scrap metal laying around the farm works very well

Hey guys. I will be in the process of getting a plow ready for my 6x6 when I get home in March. I am going to use an older light model from a pick up. I have seen the problem that drev59 has, the plow riding up. My Dad's quad with the plow does the same. So I have been looking on the net for something to be able to put some pressure on the blade to prevent it from jumping up. I have located a place in Surrey BC that sells linear actuators, Firgelli Auto. They come in different lenghts and pressures. This way I will be able to put some pressure on the blade and save my winch at the same time. They are priced cheaper than a winch and are able to be used outside. They sell weather proof seals for the motor and shaft. Was thinking about using one for turning the blade too.

I plowed about 5 inches last night from my driveway and the neighbors with my Max IV.
I like the strap idea instead of the cable. My winch mount is not quite right for plow use since the winch cable runs down and towards the back of the machine by a couple inches.
I'm trying to come up with a faster method of raising and lowering the plow. I do have an extra winch that I was thinking of modifying to mount on the plow and somehow run a bell-crank set up to increase the speed of raising and lowering.
I also wish the Max would shift forward/reverse easier since I spend more time raising and lowering the winch and shifting forward/reverse than I do pusing snow.

It does push 2 feet of wet snow up a pretty steep driveway with no problems and its actually fun.
