evil and have nearly the same vintage of argo, and in our old kohler engines, the mechanical pump will lose it's prime if it sits more than about a week. the electric pump lets us get fuel up to the carb without having to crank the engine for a really long time.
napa sells the same pump as argo for a lot cheaper the part # is BK 610-1052for the pump. your newer model argo probably even has a mount for it under the seat
