    Hand Tools

RD, that is a great list. As usual experience is a great teacher. What about hand tools, do you have a short list of what are the essentials? I always carry alot more than I need, most are never used.

holy.. a rolling shop thanx. i was going to order some bearings here one of these days before the top and windsheild arrive so were good to go when we get that on the machine. i guess ill get a length of double 50 and throw it in the waterproof tool/parts bag. as for wrenches. ill kinda go through and see what sizes are common.. (why cant engineers make something with the same size bolts throughout? ie: to take off a certain part you need a hex, 9mm, and phillips driver!!) i have two spares so when i look at making that rack i guess it wont hurt to throw a spare tire on somewhere hey. i was gonna ask since ur running the supertracks, what is a segment of that worth?? was almost thinking of running supertrack link on every other segment?? seen a few videos and i imagine that it works just as well as a full track, no??? ass for being crazy. arent we all?? myself i get into some nasty areas and always rely on cell phone or iff im that far out in the boonies ill steal a sattelite phone from work for that day.. that way i can do my job and have fun at the same time!!

I have not had to purchase segments for a wile, and I am at work. I will have to get back to you on that.
As for running alternat segments...............Interesting Idea
I have not considered that.......Might possibly be even better in some conditions.

Hi BW6-If the tool kit is for the Hoot you may want to add a pair of knee pads or at least a band=aid. haha. I hope to have tracks on within a week in case you guys are planning another trip to the Northern Lands. Would like to stay at a nicer motel though! Regards

                  Tattoo

Hi Philip, not too many guys can claim that they got a tattoo at Ledges, my right knee cap still has a perfect outline of a phillips head screw

Good to hear that your getting tracks, what did you buy?

I agree that hotel was a dump. We are planning another ride at Ricks Farm next weekend, Chuck is coming up, think you can make it? I think I'll be bringing out Maximus for a little fun.

                          tool and parts list

i dont think you missed too much rockdoctor. after working on my the last 2 weekends i think that you pretty muched covered the whole spectrum. i think that i will be checking my tools and parts to see if i have too add to it. the only thing that i think you might have missed is a good first aid kit. i am putting together a little emergency tool kit for my argo, was hoping to maybe take advantage of the rear floor pan and making a cover so that i can still stack up on it.

Actually I did mention First Aid Kit, in the first list, just above "Pack of Cigars" LOL

Please feel free to add to these lists, I know there are some good ideas out there, and I would love to hear them. The problem with my lists, is that items are added as I notice that I need them (most of the time when I'm in the middle of nowhere)
