  • Difference between Response and Conquest?

I'm thinking about buying a newer Argo, but I can't seem to find information on what the actual difference is between a Conquest and a Response. Can anyone detail the differences? Is it possible to upgrade a Response to the equivalent of a Conquest, or it it necessary to buy a Conquest right off the bat. I would like to run Supertracks in deep snow if that makes any difference.

    Thanks!

    Response
    18hp Brigs
    Air cooled
    No bearing extensions

    Conquest
    20 hp Kawasaki
    Liquid cooled
    bearing extensions

Conquest is more suited to tracks with the added hp and bearing extensions.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly are bearing extensions, and would they be difficult / expensive to add to a response?

I would love to try a Mudd Ox, I wonder if anyone would be willing to send a "Demo" up to me..........

          AK,
Bearing extensions extend the bearing location out farther on the axles on the front and back axles of the Argo. They are bolted through to the frame of the Argo. It's a "mechanical advantage" thing. By moving the bearings out closer to the wheel flange, it makes the axle "stronger", helps prevent bent axles, and is less wear on the bearings.

I have heard of them being added to machines without them, but have never seen it done. Check out some of the "Snow Plowing" posts, and you will find pics of them. This Thread has a pic on the first post, The Aluminium piece is the bearing extension.
