Argo Pushbar and rear Rack

OK, I'm not sure if I posted this before, or not

I owed a friend a favor, and he may have took a little advantage of me. He asked me to build a pushbar and rear rack for his Conquest......I agreed. No problem right?
He dropped it of with me, and also left me a pile of "Scrap Metal" to work with
I refuse to do things Half-Assed, so I ended up contributing most of the material myself.........Now he owes me one
I also mounted the rear winch as per his instructions, although I would have done it different if it was mine.

NOTE: I DID NOT PAINT THE BUMPER AND RACK ON THE ARGO. HE SHOWED UP AS I WAS ABOUT TO TAKE IT ALL OFF TO PAINT IT. HE DECIDED TO PAINT IT HIMSELF AND SAVE ME THE EFFORT. THE OVERSPRAY IS HIS PROBLEM

Thats a nice job that you did on the front brush guard and also the rear one as well. In the past , I,m also sure a rear winch would have come in handy too , right?

This is how I did mine, as you can see I raised the rack up quite a bit higher on mine than his. I just built his the way he wanted it. If my back rack interfers with my departure angle, I think I'm probably in trouble.

I know from experience thats alot of time in that fabrication. I think he owes you multiple two-fers. No doubt the rear winch will come in handy even if it has to be used only one time. Nice job.

RD if you need a machine to practice on just let me know. Aluminum on the front and steel on the back may work for leaveling you out in the water. just a thought

i woulda mounted rear winch a little lower myself but who am i to say right? like the rear rack and bumper on both ur machine and buddies though.. would be perfect for holding jerry cans. how much weight u think u added with all that steel on the machine. 200#???

I doubt it adds up to 150 lbs
I feel that it's just part of the Argo, and ignore it..........and considering the loads I haul, it's just a drop in the bucket
I don't spend alot of time "swimming" around, it's more like just crossing creeks and ponds.

I agree with you, if I was to mount a rear winch, I would put it under my back rack.
Even on the one I did for the friend, I think I should have mounted it upside down under the rack
