    Fair Price for Argo Axle?

    What is the cost of replacing an Argo axle?

    A friend is fabricating one for me and asked if I knew what they cost. I couldn't find a replacement online and didn't have a price quoted. He is having some third-party help and I want to make him a fair deal. Material cost was under $15 and I paid for that.

    I'm anxious to get the new one installed. I'm so close to my first test drive things can't get done soon enough.

      Axle pricing

      price for an axle for the Conquest or the Avenger which is the same is around $65 according to the dealer mark up.

        Thats a hard one to call really as the axle you require is the shear pin type no longer available. your other option was to buy a new splined shaft with the correct splined sprocket, not cheap! So puttin a price on a part no longer available is tricky, spose it will come down to how long it takes and how gudda mate! look forward to seeing the pics of your machine in action.

          Thanks for the info.

          I'll wait and see how many hours it takes to build the new axle and go from there. I hope to stay under $100. New bearings were $15 each. That's $240 for eight axles.

          Next task is repairing the driven clutch and cleaning the brake rotors.
