ok i just got pics from the guy who has the argo i want to buy.. it is a 2004 (camo) 8x8 with 64 hours on it.. it has a winch and a set of tracks that come with it.. he is asking 8000.00 is that a good deal? or just average?
do i need to know anything if i want to run them in winter? the reason i ask is the argo is down south and i live in canada

What other options are on the Argo? Does it have the trailer hitch, windshield, winch and brushguard etc? What are the tracks? Are they the 15 in plastic or the 18 in rubber? These all add to the price. I don't have a set of tracks for my Argo, but there are a lot of guys on this site with a huge amount of expeirence. Where are you located in Canada? I am in SW Ontario.
    Cheers, Al

        Not bad

Do you know what condition it is in. Bearings good, tires in good shape. If it is in good shape that is not a bad price. Is it a Avenger or Conquest? I bought my Conquest in 2006 for $8500 but the machine was in excellent shape. It didn't come with tracks.

Try to get it for 7000 and then you will feel like you got a deal and it will pay your gas to go get it

Doesn't sound bad. Still try to talk the guy down a little if you can.

I merged your threads. There is no need for two threads on the same topic.

Is this 2 different machines? In the first post you quoted $8000 then in another post you quote $6500, but both have the same description. If the machine is in good shape, $6500 is a good price IMHO.

You said "plastic tracks"....if it's the Supertracks, I was just quoted $2600 Can. for a Supertrack kit. If the winch is something like a 4200lb Rule with the large spool, that's about $900. That brings the price of the Argo down to about $3000...........That's a "Smokin" deal.

One thing you should know about running tracks in the water..............Tracks don't work in water (swimming) unless you turn them VERY slow. Speed them up a bit, and you will actually go backwards.

                      Hope this helps

the reason for the two different discriptions on the argos is one is for just the argo... for just the argo 2004 conquest he wants 6500 and all that comes with is the argo and a hitch and handrails and outboard mount. it is camo also. the higher price is for the plastic tracks and winch included..
