      Thanks a lot !!

Thanks Chapy. I will give him a try also. I may have to make my own, I just don't have a lot of extra time.

        Kahn,

I would suggest that you build your own, It really doesn't take long once you get going, and you will be much happier with the result.

        IMHO

          Whats up Roc Doc?

Your probably right. I've got a brand new mig welder at the house that hasn't even run off the first roll of wire yet. Just got to make the time. I want one a little heavier duty than the ones I have found so far. Got the 2500lb winch on the way.

            Hey Kahn

Not up to much right now, I just started my shift at work. Won't be home now till middle of next week.
My next set of days off should be interesting. A friend wants to haul a couple of wood skids out to his cabin (beside mine, about 10 miles out in the bush). The skids are Fir, and weigh about 3,500lbs. We have access to a "Haglin", which is a little AATV track machine. The trail, so far, is just broke with snowmobiles (one track wide), and the snow is about 4 ft deep. Should be an adventure, I will try to get some good vids of the whole thing.

As for the pushbar.....Get that mig fired up....I too feel that the stock Argo type units are built a little light. I have yet to see one last longer than the time it takes to put them on.......They sure look good though. A friend just got an email from one of the bigwigs at Argo, requesting pics of some of our home built Pushbars.

As for the 2500lb winch.........If it is a "Warn" winch, a couple observations:
The Warn 2500lb winch does not "lock" in place, so if you are trying to hold a load it will creap. EX, If you use the winch to lift the Argo to change a tire, the winch will slowly let the Argo down.
The Warn 2500lb winch has a plastic gear in it that can strip it's teeth. They really don't like impact loads. EX, Don't use the winch to "tie down" the Argo on your trailer. Jolting over the bumps can damage the winch.
I have found that the 2500lb winches are "just enough", I would recomend that you carry a "Snatch Block" with you, so you can double your line pull when needed.

Have a good one, and remember to post up some pics of your pushbar design
