Typically, that's not a good sign. I have had mine do that, but it was from having the shifter not quite in gear. If you are positive that it's in gear properly, and it's still jumping out...................
Time to crack the trans open
It's not as bad as it might seem, if you are mechanical, and have the time, you can probably do a rebuild yourself. I would just recommend that if you are going in, you might as well replace bearings/seals, and any gears that are damaged.
Of course I could be wrong about this, I was wrong once beforelol
Just my 2 bits

OK,
That might be like what mine has done before.
If your shifter feels loose/sloppy, you might want to check the linkage, where the shifter conects to the shaft. It should have 2 "roll pins". Sometimes they work loose, I have had to put mine back in a couple times. A pair of water pump plyers works well to press them back.
Hopefully tha's all you have going on.

also make sure that the shifter isn't getting knocked out by flex in the firewall. i've heard of people having to open up the slot that the shifter goes through because it won't allow the lever to get all the way into gear.A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
