Idler bearing bolts sheared off

The bolts sheared off my Idler shaft bearing on my new frontier 8x8. Does the trans have to be lifted to replace bolts?

shaft is out

removed shaft. looks like the frame is tapped. 2 bolts broke off flush with frame.
15 miles on the machine.......back to the dealer. If you have a new machine you might want to check these bolts.......I'm not impressed!!!

performed great until it broke

I was in a poker derby. probably 100 machines. only Argo there. dragged out lots of 4 wheelers. The only machine that compaired to the performance was a polaris ranger with tracks. Not very good advertisement for Argo dependability. Limped it back to the trailer. 50 mile run cut short.Was planning to post short camera videos.....should of got the camera out early... I will take some at next event.

There ain't nothing like going to an event like that and have something break, due to what was most likely a factory screw-up. And we wonder why there aren't more of us out there. I rode my Hustler in the local High School homecoming parade. Even though I was sure of my its mechanical condition and nothing broke, I was quite nervous for the first half of the route. You gotta know that MOST of the people at this event had never even SEEN a 6X6 and we turned a LOT of heads.

IF you take sand paper and sand the axle then mix up sum jb weld (the fast drying) then use a long pc of sand paper sand it like u would shine a shoe it will be like brand new (WORKS 4ME)

Back in action this weekend

Called the dealer. Should be back together for the weekend. Argo is covering the cost of parts and the repair.

You would hope so with only 15 hours or 15 miles on machine. Could you tell what hardness they were? Probably ran out of the correct bolt and some got substituted for the correct ones. Haven't heard of that before.

couldn't tell the grade of the stud used. Dealer said they hadn't seen the problem before. I'll quiz the mechanic when I pick up the machine to see what grade of stud was in the machine and what he replaced it with. I will post the info
