  • Center axle roll pin breaking

    Hi
I have my 84 6X6 argo up and running the last couple of weeks, its a lot of fun. One problem that has shown up is the roll pin on the center axle on the left side keeps breaking. It is always the same axle. We get an hour or 2 out of it at a time. We are playing in a mud hole and hummocks around it and a few hill climbs. It has a 16 hp tumcesch. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this?
    Thanks

i believe that there should be 2 sheer pins in the axle (my 85 8x8 has 2 each)
if you are only puting one in there it will surely be the weak link. most of my axles have one inside the sprockets, and 1 outside. they are positioned 90 degrees from each other.
    hope that helps
