    I got an argo 6x6

I was wondering what the best tires are for these I do a mix of water and mud and hard pack and rocks. I also want to get a wind sheild and full enclosure with roll cage where is the best place for this?
I also have a minkota 28lbs thrust trolling motor for this if I have the engine running can i run this off the tractor battery that is in it or will it run the bat. dead? I really dont want to find out the hard way on this. anyu info would be great

    thanks

I'd highly recommend, along with other folks that have them on their AATVs is the Super Swamper Vampire. Most newer Argos would use 25x13x9 size. You'll be amazed at how these tires outperform the others out there.

will these tires affect how this thing floats or works in water? I have a deep river that we cross often and I dont want to loose the ability to go in the water.

        Info

I would advise looking at the new avenger tire. I have seen them in the field on Lewis's avenger and nothing we had would swim as well as his did. and he didn't get stuck the first time anywhere. Several videos on the busco beach thread to look at. some had trouble with quad tires in some of the ruts. They don't bead as well. Bead lock rims will help in this matter. The trolling motor will run your service battery dead. I recommend a deep cycle secondary if you are going to use it for an extended period of time. Good Luck!!!!

Vampires still will swim and they will still float. Those new Argo tires would be faster in the water but I read on here that they cost over $189 per tire. Here is a video of the Vampires swimming, and mudding in a variety of situations on 6x6World member Boncrshr's Hustler 950. Take a look around.....the really impressive videos are of this machine in the mud. Wow!

That video was shot of boncrshr,s Hustler the first time we crossed the Sabine River ( Texas ). Boncrshr and I crossed the Sabine River two more times going the same direction , and three more times on the way back.

The Vampire TSL tire will swim across a river with no current , and maybe with only a very small amount of water current, but any more than that,, you,ll need a Fronteer tire. The Fronteer tire is great in the water, but not in the mud where ,, Boncrshr, MightlymaxIV, Georgia mudbug or myself ride our amphibs at. The Fronteer tire might not be a good choice if you ride in rocks that have sharp edges.

JMOR has a vanguard? or vanguard II? what year? the later models had the wider axle spacing of the bigfoot frame.

For that early model you're more or less limited to 8" wheels and 22" tires. The taller Frontier tires will also fit. Rawhide III's in 22x11x8. Runamuks and copies of runamuk tread, if you want to retain swim ability. The only Interco tire that will fit is the 22" super swamper TSL ATV tire, great in mud, doesn't swim.
