I was wondering what kind of tracks to you use, (hard plastic or rubber)? I have a set of hard plastic tracks and I like them. Have not used them a hole lot this past winter had to replace bearings and other PMS items.
So here is why I ask. With the terrain here in kodiak you leave the road and you are on rocky gravel trail for 2 miles then it turns to snow with some river crossings, travel 12 miles in the snow (some places fairly deep) then you are back to the rocky trail again, and the beach. Did that once last year with the tracks and put allot of wear and tear on the tracks messed up an axle, and head to drive out 17 miles on 5 tires. I was wondering is the rubber track can take the rock/gravel better then the hard plastic tracks. Would like to get in to some of the place to hunt in the winter were the four wheeler cant go.
Thanks for the input.
