Mid-80's Hood Modification?

Nearly all mid-80's Argos run HOT when it's hot outside. I'm wondering if anyone has modified their hood to allow higher airflow out from the engine compartment?

Because of the dust, I'd prefer not to run without a hood. I'm considering a scoop with a 12vdc fan. I have a spare hood I could modify for summer use.

Has anyone modified a hood on a mid-80's 8x8 for hotter weather?

Engine compartment heat

I used to have a mid 80's Argo. I usually ran it without the hood because it seemed to hot with the hood most of the time. I'd think a couple bildge blowers like used on boats engine compartments might help get some heat out of the engine compartment and you might not have to modify your hood.
