I know they are 1" bearings. What is the difference between the two? Which ones should I be using ? The new axles I have are 810-73 (front) 810-75 (Mid) Thanks Tim

??
When I started disassembly on Hustler #2 I ran upon one of these (UCX205-16) that the PO had installed. The difference was that it has set screws that locked it on the axle, not the eccentric locking collar type. The hole centers on the flange seem to match-up, and I can’t remember if the bearing had spherical movement or not. It did seem to be doing its job, but I will replacing all bearing and going back to the OEM style bearings and flange sets.
Oh, and the obivous is that the UCX is enclosed with its own cast flange. I'm sure you knew that but others might not. I would say that they could work if that's what you wanted. I would double check your mounting holes.Last edited by duckhunt81; 07-17-2009, 02:48 PM.

UC vs UCX
same ID but the OD on the UC205-100 is 52mm and the UCX05-100 is 62mm - shouldn't be 206 on either bearing but perhaps on the housing. The UC refers to setscrews if it was a collar it would be UEL - all this by NTN Bearings; other manufacturers will be different part numbers.
Typically the UCX is a medium duty bearing with larger balls and will support more load - both types are spherical OD for some misalignment.

Hi, here in oz the 206-20 is for the outer of the shaft and the UXC05-16 is the one for the stepped down bit for the end. I only know this coz I bought mine last week, it may be diff where you are but just check.Last edited by chris_ryrie; 07-26-2009, 09:24 PM.
