  • Argo Bigfoot Seat Modification

OK, I know there are alot of very talented people in this forum who have alot of ideas, especially all the guys who weld and design things for their machines. I'm looking for an idea to go out fishing in my Argo Bigfoot 6x6.

Here's the deal. I go fishing in my Argo fairly often. The front end seems to sit too low in the water so I like to fish out the back end. It will then sit alot more level. I don't want to step over the backrest as I'm a big enough fellow that I could end up falling in the lake. I also don't like leaning over the backrest to get something out of the back. I need some method to either quickly remove the backrest of the seat or have it fold down out of the way.

Any welders here with ideas and hopefully pictures to go along with it.

    Thanks!

I know this isn't what you were talking about, but this is a fishing seat that I fabricated for my Argo 8x8.

Cool! That is also a great idea. I hadn't even thought of using the outboard mount area but I'm a little leary of sticking my ass out the very back of the Argo in case a big fish pulls me in

Thanks and hopefully the ideas keep coming.

have you considered two or one single seat/s from your local boat shop or ebay. I think they are around $70 AUS each, which would make them around $100 or so US. Ten you would have no back in the middle for passing through to the back

I realize this is an old thread but I watched a YouTube video the other day about some guys fishing out of their Argo 6x6. They had put the back rest on a hinge so they could climb over and fish out of the back and still have a seat/back rest. Anyone out their ever try this?
