When did Argo go to splined axles?

Can someone tell me what year Argo went from pinned to splined axles?

I have a mid-80's Argo KB (8-wheel Kohler I/C model), and am now replacing all 8 axles with flanged axles. Still have pins, though.

Eventually, I'd like to buy a newer Argo with splined axles, and am wondering what model year to start looking it.

my 1987 NKB got the splined axles. 1¼ axles using the same bearings for the inners and the outers. somewhere 90s they changed the inner bearings for 1 inch undercut end shaft style.

and by the way, my 1987 8x8 got a K582 23hp Kohler (946cc of overweight cast iron)

Yes '87 was the first year, i have an I/C model here with 4 front axles upgraded to splined and the rear original pinned, works great
