  • When did Argo go to splined axles?

Can someone tell me what year Argo went from pinned to splined axles?

I have a mid-80's Argo KB (8-wheel Kohler I/C model), and am now replacing all 8 axles with flanged axles. Still have pins, though.

Eventually, I'd like to buy a newer Argo with splined axles, and am wondering what model year to start looking it.

    Thanks,

    Bob

my 1987 NKB got the splined axles. 1ΒΌ axles using the same bearings for the inners and the outers. somewhere 90s they changed the inner bearings for 1 inch undercut end shaft style.

and by the way, my 1987 8x8 got a K582 23hp Kohler (946cc of overweight cast iron)
