have a few questions for whoever wants to chime in today. anyone ever had the hub worn through to the shaft seal on one of the corner axles?? i pulled the rear of today(changing bearings) and found that the metal where the seal is pushed against is about as thick as 3 sheets of paper.(push it with your finger and it will break right through) the rest of the hubs on the same side are fine. also anyone have any tips or tricks on changing out front right? behind battery or is it just going to have to be a pain? i think when i go to put the peices back together im going to skip the loctite becasue the set screws are real tough to back out. i noticed on another page rock doctor said that he does not use the set screws on the outer bearings and i think thats the way i wil go. the fewer the bettter anyways hope someone can help me along thanks

ya it looks like im going to have to do the same.. just wondering how you got the axle to pull through the inner bearing? for the other three axles i had to tap the bolt that threads into the end of the axle like on rock doctors vid. up in the engine bay there isnt enough room to get a hammer in. i was thinking of strapping a come along on the axle and pulling to something then giving the axle a tap on the outside any ideas appreciated. thanx

Hi, I dont know if its mush help, but I bashed a screwdriver into both bearings till i was able to take all the balls out, the the shaft just pulled out, you will still have to cut the bearing inners off the shaft, but its easy once the axle is out.
