  • New Avenger

The wife surprized me, She took care of all of it including shipping to Alaska. Used 2008 Avenger 750 efi with tracks, winch, & windshield. I had to sell the old Conquest, which was kind of bitter sweet. It's do here on Monday. It will be our first one with tracks, we're looking foward to testing it out. If you have any track tips, please let me know.

      Congrats!!!!!!

Chinook, you really need to give that woman a good hug and a great night out on the town. She has gotten you a awesome machine!!!!!!

The rubber tracks seem to cause a little more problems than the plastic. Rock Doctor is one with a lot of travel time on the tracks. There are several other but his name pops into my heads right off the bat. Maybe he will give you some good track tips.

I have run the tracks on my 06 Avenger with the new Ago tires and have had no problems. These tires are a little pricey, but they are awesome tires. From what i have heard the new Avengers come from the factory with the new design tires.

Good luck with your new machine, excellent choice and give that lady a big hug
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

        good girl

She is great, and a good little argo driver. She said she was tired of waiting for me to catch up haha. About the tracks someone told me to zip-tie the chain tensioners down or they'll were out very quickly? I guess it will be a learning curve... tire pressure, track tension, ect......

Love those Alaskan swamps. Tracks sound awesome!
I ride a brown '96 Max 4 (skid plate, roll cage, 26" Rawhides, 20hp, custom winch and tow plates) with a 2K front winch and a 4K come-along for back up. I pack 20'tow-strap, 2 chains and 2 hooks,a jeep jack, and a big block of PT wood. Also an axe and chainsaw. And mechanic tools. I have a tote with a tarp and bungees. Spare parts. Two rifles. Hey, arent I supposed to be able to have three passengers?

Congradulations on the new Argo. My wife bought mine for me too!! Sadly, as I posted earlier, I am selling my Conquest, due to cut backs in hours & pay. That being said, I have enjoyed each & every time I have used my 8x8. Plowing snow in the winter for all my neighbors, backwooding & fishing with the grandkids, deer hunting with my father-in-law, duck hunting with high school buds. Exploring new trails with my wife & finding new picnic spots.

I am sure you too will be building new memories soon!! Enjoy & show her some Major appreciation! Wives like ours are few & far between!!
