Trying to remove the rear chains on my Argo Avenger 750 EFI. It looks like the clip on the master link is a closed end clip rather than an open end one … had to use a mirror to find it since it’s hard to see because it’s on the side of the chain next to the chassis. I know there must be a split in the clip but I can’t actually see it because of how hard it is to see it with the mirror and the grease on it. Will I need C-clip pliers or Split Ring pliers to remove it?

Thanks, Bob. With a closer inspection today, I saw the split. Didn’t see your post until I had the clip removed, though. I basically did what you suggested … but I used an old chisel that I sharpened to a pretty good point on my grinder. It didn’t slip off, though. It actually broke in two pieces. But that’s ok since I’ll be replacing the link and clip anyway. Now I just have to find the one on the chain on the other side. Working on Argos is a pain in the butt … aarrg!
