Argo Axle bearings

I am taking apart my 1984 Argo 8x8 to replace axle bearings, I noticed that the outter bearing was a sealed bearing, I am not sure why the would have a greas nipple there if this was correct Does anyone know if this is the best way to go or if its even the proper bearing for the unit.

The bearings I bought for my "83" were sealed, but I just popped the outer seal off and keep them well greased.
